Genesis 41575008 18/4 Stranded Unshielded Fire Alarm Cable, Direct Burial, FPL, CL3, 500' (152.4 m) Reel, Black

The Genesis 41575008 is an 18 AWG, 4-conductor stranded, unshielded fire alarm cable built for outdoor and direct burial runs. It suits installers and businesses wiring fire alarm circuits where the cable has to live outside, and it comes on a 500' (152.4 m) reel in black. Bare copper conductors, a sunlight-resistant jacket and countdown length markings are the standouts.

Key features

• Bare copper conductors give good conductivity and low voltage drop.
• SRPVC insulation sits under a PVC jacket.
• A rip cord lets you strip and remove the jacket cleanly.
• Countdown length markings make it easy to track how much cable you have used and how much is left.
• It is rated for 300 volts and for -20 °C to 75 °C.
• The jacket is sunlight (UV) resistant, and the cable is REACH/RoHS compliant.

Because this cable is unshielded, keep it clear of high-voltage and noisy power runs where practical. Use the countdown markings to plan each pull and cut to length, and use the rip cord to open the jacket at terminations without nicking the conductors.
