Genesis 32165512 18/6 Stranded Shielded Cable, Plenum, CMP, FT6, 500' (152.4 m) Pull Box, Natural

The Genesis 32165512 is an 18 AWG, 6-conductor stranded shielded control cable with a plenum (CMP, FT6) rating, supplied in a 500' (152.4 m) pull box in natural. It suits installers running low-voltage control wiring indoors, including in air-handling spaces. Bare copper conductors, a foil shield over all conductors and a rip cord for stripping the jacket are what stand out.

Key features

• Bare copper conductors give good conductivity and low voltage drop.
• Low-smoke PVC insulation covers the conductors.
• A foil shield runs over all conductors.
• A rip cord makes it easier to strip and remove the jacket.
• Countdown length markings let you track how much cable you have used and how much is left.
• It is rated for 300 volts and for temperatures from -20 °C to 75 °C.

Installation notes

Terminate the foil shield according to the equipment manufacturer's grounding guidance, and keep the cable away from sources of electrical noise where you can. Use the rip cord to open the jacket cleanly, and avoid sharp bends or hard pulls so the shield and conductors are not damaged.
