Honeywell Home COVERPLATE Mounting Plate to Cover Holes for 5800SMOKEV and PROSIXSMOKEV

The Honeywell Home COVERPLATE is a white mounting plate for the 5800SMOKEV and PROSIXSMOKEV smoke detectors. It covers the holes left behind when you replace an existing smoke or heat detector that had a larger diameter than the new one. It suits installers and homeowners doing a swap on an older install, and its built-in gasket helps limit airflow through the oversized opening.

Key features

• Covers the holes left by an older, larger detector.
• Hides old paint colors from the previous installation, so the ceiling looks cleaner.
• Includes a gasket that cuts down airflow through larger holes.
• Helps reduce the chance of stack effect, which could interfere with detector performance.
