About the PBF-100T

The GRI PBF-100T Plunger Switch (model PBF-100T) is a push button, plunger-actuated switch with a closed loop contact, made to replace an older mechanical contact that gave installers trouble. It suits installers and DIY users who need a direct swap without re-drilling or redesigning the original installation. The sealed reed contacts, recessed magnetic contact and US-made construction are what set it apart.

  • The PB series was developed after installers asked for a direct replacement for a problematic mechanical type contact.
  • Sealed reed switch contacts are intended to give a long service life.
  • The PBF-100T is a press fit design, so it does away with the screw mounted flange.
  • The PBF flange push button can be installed without re-drilling or redesigning the original installation.
  • Plated contacts resist sticking or freezing.
  • Screw terminals are provided for wiring.

Installation notes

Match the new switch to the opening left by the old contact so it fits without extra drilling, and use the supplied spacers as needed to set the plunger position. Test the closed loop circuit with the door or window open and closed before finishing the install.
