About the 195-12

The GRI 195-12-W is a recessed steel door switch set from GRI (George Risk Industries) that reports whether a door is open or closed. It is a wired magnetic contact for commercial installations, supplied as a set of two in white. It suits installers who need a concealed, one-piece contact for steel doors with a standard gap.

Installation notes

Drill a clean, correctly sized hole in the door edge, and align the matching magnet in the frame with the switch so the two sit within the rated gap. Route the leads so they are protected from pinching as the door swings, then test the open and closed states at the panel before finishing.
