About the 100-TWG

The GRI 100-TWG (model 100-TWG-W) is a white, wired surface mount magnetic contact that watches a door or window and reports when it opens. It is a normally open, closed loop switch, hermetically sealed, with plated contacts that resist sticking or freezing. The Hybrid (DIY + Professional) installation type, screw-down flange or self-stick mounting, and a choice of leads or screw terminals make it a practical fit for both homeowners and installers.

Key features

  • Longer leads, or zip cord or jacketed cable, are available upon request.
  • Built-in E.O.L. resistors and diodes can be added upon request.
  • Switches and magnets are available separately.
  • The hermetic seal and plated contacts help the switch resist sticking or freezing.
  • Mounts with a screw-down flange or self-stick, with 12″ #22 AWG leads or screw terminals.

Installation notes

Mount the switch on the fixed frame and the magnet on the moving door or window, keeping them aligned across the gap. Test the loop with the door or window open and closed before finishing the wiring run, and keep the switch rating in mind when connecting it to the panel.
