About the GR1840

The GRI GR1840 is a neodymium door magnet made by George Risk Industries. It mounts in the top channel of a metal entry or exit door and works as the magnet half of a door-position sensing setup. It suits commercial installs, and its oval channel design can be rotated to fit either wide or narrow top channels.

Installation notes

Check the width of the door's top channel before mounting, and rotate the magnet to suit it. Keep the magnet aligned with its mating switch on the frame and test the alignment with the door opened and closed before finishing the install.
