Episode ES-SUB-IW-DUAL8 Passive In-Wall Subwoofer with Dual 8" Woofers

Episode brings the ES-SUB-IW-DUAL8 passive in-wall subwoofer to home theater and whole-room audio installs where a floor-standing sub is not wanted. It uses two 8″ woven fiberglass woofers in a white cabinet and is designed to drop into a standard 2″ x 4″ stud bay, so the bass hardware disappears into the wall. It suits installers and homeowners who want low-frequency output that stays out of the room.

Key features

• Two 8″ woven fiberglass cones share the low-frequency work.
• Each woofer has a high-temperature 1″ voice coil.
• The cabinet is designed to fit a standard 2″ x 4″ stud bay.
• A cutout template is included for easier installs.
• Solid cabinet construction and anti-vibration pads are part of the design.

Installation notes

This is a passive subwoofer, so it needs a separate amplifier channel to drive it. Use the cutout template to mark the opening, confirm the stud bay is clear of wiring and pipes, and secure the cabinet firmly, given its weight, so it does not rattle in the wall.
