About the KB-CM-221/46

The Camden CM-221/46 ValueWave is a single-gang, 12/24VDC touchless exit switch in a stainless-steel faceplate with a light ring and a Wave to Exit graphic. It lets people release a door by waving a hand near the plate instead of pressing a button, which suits access control installations for businesses, institutions and homes. The IP65 rating, adjustable sensing range and selectable green or red illumination make it a flexible fit for indoor and outdoor doors.

  • The faceplate carries a hand icon and a Wave to Exit graphic that is laser etched and resists cleaners.
  • The light ring can be set to green or red, with an input to control the illumination.
  • The sensor range adjusts from 2″ to 8″ (5 to 20cm).
  • The time delay is adjustable from 0.5 to 20 seconds, and toggle operation is available.
  • The SPDT (Form C) contact is rated at 1 A at 30VDC.

Installation notes

Mount the switch in a single-gang location where the sensing area is clear of passing traffic, then set the sensor range and time delay during commissioning to suit the door. Confirm the supply voltage and relay wiring against the manufacturer's instructions before powering up, and test the wave detection and light ring before leaving site.
