Ball Valve Sprinkler Supervisory Switch, Retrofit Monitor for Backflow Preventers and Solenoid Coils RBVS

The RBVS is a sprinkler supervisory switch designed to monitor the fully open or closed position of ball valves in sprinkler systems, backflow preventers, and preaction/deluge systems. This retrofit switch detects when a ball valve handle moves from its normal position, making it essential for fire suppression system compliance and safety monitoring.

The switch features a spring-loaded actuator that contacts the valve handle. When the handle is moved, the actuator extends to the tripped position, causing the RBVS contacts to change state and open or close a circuit. It fits most lever/tee type ball valves up to 2 inches and most backflow preventers up to 2 inches, with mounting hardware included for easy installation.

The unit operates on both open and closed valves and can accommodate up to 12 AWG wire. It also includes mounting hardware to supervise coils on most solenoids for preaction and deluge system applications. An optional field-installed cover tamper switch kit (0090224) is available for additional security. Assembled in the USA and RoHS compliant.
