Sonos Port Streaming Media Player, Black

The Sonos Port (model PORT1US1BLK) is a network audio player that connects your existing stereo gear to the Sonos system. It takes a line-in source such as a record player or CD player, and it outputs to a stereo or receiver over analog RCA or digital coaxial. It suits homeowners and installers adding streaming to a component audio setup. The 12V trigger, which powers the connected stereo on automatically, is what sets it apart.

Key features

• The line-in brings a record player, CD player or other audio source into the Sonos ecosystem.
• Line-out is available as analog (RCA) or digital (coaxial) for connecting your audio equipment.
• A 12V trigger switches on your stereo or receiver automatically when a signal is sent, so no remote or extra steps are needed.
• Bass and treble controls let you tune the sound.
• Volume can be set for individual rooms or for groups of rooms.

Installation notes

Place the unit near the stereo or receiver it feeds so the RCA or coaxial run stays short. Leave room around it for ventilation and cable bends. If you use the 12V trigger, confirm the connected receiver is set to respond to the trigger signal. For the most reliable connection, wire the unit to the network over Ethernet.
